Amazon Prime started by offering free shipping – same-day delivery in Toronto and Vancouver and two-day shipping for the rest of Canada. After that, Amazon added more services for Prime members such as TV and movies through Prime Video, and Prime Music. Amazon Prime membership in Canada costs $7.99 per month or $79 per year. Post-secondary students in Canada have a 50% discount for Prime members.

Customers in Canada can sign up for a free 30-days trial for Amazon Prime.

Does Amazon Prime include books?

Yes, Amazon Prime membership in Canada now includes books at no additional cost. Prime members can access more than a thousand of fiction and nonfiction e-books, children’s books, magazines, and comic books. You can download up to ten titles. If you wish to download the 11th title, you will be prompted to return one tittle and then you will be able to download a new title.

Several of Prime Reading books are available as audiobooks on the Audible. Using Whispersync technology on Kindle devices you can easily switch between reading and listening.

Does Amazon Prime include Kindle Unlimited?

No, Amazon Prime membership does not include Kindle Unlimited.

Is it Kindle Unlimited and Prime Reading the same?

No. Kindle Unlimited and Prime Reading are two similar programs for reading books but there are a few differences. 

Kindle Unlimited is a subscription service that gives you access to borrow e-books from Kindle store and audio books from the Audible. In Canada subscription to Kindle Unlimited costs $9.99 per month. 

Kindle Prime Reading Canada is part of Amazon Prime. It gives access to a large selection of e-books at no extra costs only for Amazon Prime members.
